Funerals and Interment of Ashes at St Philip and St James, Palma
In your home country, of course, things would be much easier for you. You would not be faced with local regulations in a language you may not understand. And you would not be forced to make decisions at such a bewildering speed.

Just remember that we are here to help - whatever your needs and personal circumstances may be...

Although we can help you arrange for any type of funeral, Mallorca is a predominantly rocky island, so ordinary burials can prove expensive and sometimes distressing for relatives and friends. Many Christians choose cremation, and have their loved one's ashes spread over a favourite beauty spot, or at sea - perhaps within sight of Palma Cathedral, as above, or in our Garden of Remembrance, possibly with the addition of a memorial plaque.

In an emergency, our chaplain's mobile telephone number is: 600 400 600

Garden of Remembrance

A quiet area beside our church is set aside for the interment of cremated remains and memorials.

The Church Council is happy to consider requests from families wishing to avail themselves of this facility.  There are some restrictions on materials, size and wording.

The Chaplain can talk about these with families thinking of having the remains of loved ones interred in the Garden of Remembrance, and give advice on wording, types of stone, and local stonemasons.
